In 1969 Ray Hughes and Ian Reece set up Gallery One Eleven and I began to show with them. Later Ray and Ian ended their partnership when Ray moved to a new premises in Red Hill.

1974 Self and Ray
Ray later acquired Rudy Koman's old gallery and expanded his operation to Sydney. He later bought the 3 storey building in Surry Hills that became the iconic Ray Hughes Gallery. In 1989 Ray approached me with the idea of collaborating with a number of his artists. William Robinson, Joe Furlonger, Bill Hay, Tony Twigg, Robert Moore, Michael Barnett and Gavin Chilcott. This led to the exhibition "Artists Make Ceramics" that pre-viewed in Brisbane then went to Sydney for the main showing.
From then on I continued in collaborations with Bill Robinson, Joe Furlonger, Gavin Chilcott (New Zealand), Cheng Tsai-Tung (Taiwan) and Yu Peng (Taiwan)
Over the years I had exhibited with other galleries in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra and Auckland. However Ray was my primary dealer.
